Origins isn’t your average lash brand. Founded in Calgary, Alberta by a lash artist who was fed up with sketchy, chemical-heavy products, Origins set out to do better - for pros, for artistry, and for the community. What was born out of her work was safer, smarter formulas crafted with chemists, minus the harmful extras. But the real magic has always been Origins’ ethos: building a space where lash artists - whether they’re picking up tweezers for the first time or running their own studio - feel supported, connected, and empowered. The only problem? While the products and WhatsApp community of 150+ lash pros were thriving, the brand and website didn’t quite tell that story. So Signifly stepped in and gave Origins the glow-up it deserved. Guided by the mantra “all artists welcome,” the rebrand leaned into inclusivity and artistry - marrying sleek editorial polish with a human touch. What now exists is a modern, community-first brand that feels like it was designed with lash artists, not just for them. Every detail, from logo to checkout, celebrates artistry, making shopping feel seamless.

Rebranding Origins: Elevating artistry and community

We crafted a new logo with an “O” that acts like an eyelid, playful hover effects with hand-drawn lash illustrations, and flexible ways to activate the brand in motion. On the tech side, we tackled Shopify’s classic headache: product variations. Lengths, curls, diameters - you name it. Our dev team built a clean, intuitive system so artists could find their perfect match without the fuss.

Venture with a Voice

DMG Ventures, a venture capital fund with a unique offering and focus on consumer startups, wanted a refreshed digital presence that would attract bold, innovative entrepreneurs. Their challenge? An old-school look that didn't speak to the dynamism of the startups they were trying to reach or conveyed their valuable ‘media for equity’ model. With a few branding constraints in place - no changing the logo or name - the Signifly team had to get creative to give dmg ventures a “voice” that stood out in a sea of venture funds. We took DMG's existing identity and reimagined their online presence, crafting a brand story and visual experience that felt both authentic and modern. On the website, we amplified this message by creating an intuitive and sleek UX that puts the spotlight on their portfolio, helping potential partners and founders visualise the success they could achieve with DMG. With a touch of polish and a strategic brand voice, we turned dmg ventures into more than just another venture capital fund. Now, they’re primed to reach the next generation of founders and help them carve out their niches, ready to “venture with a voice”.
